As usual I was very impressed by Mr.
Laymon's ability to keep me enthralled right to the very end of the book. The
story centres around "Dani Larson" Queen of Horror Film Special Effects, and
the very strange Tony Johnson, who wants to be the King of Special Effects.
But an old acquaintance and victim of Tony's attempts at Effects wants revenge
for a trick he played on her. Although good, I think the book ended too
quickly and seemed to have been perhaps a little rushed. Rating 8/10 Reviewed by Lisa Rudd.
